By attending a Purple Summer holiday, guests agree to accept the following terms:
- Guests accept they must have appropriate travel insurance which covers them for COVID-19 and for consequential expenses that might be accrued for having to change, shorten or lengthen their stays. Insurance should be arranged ideally before but if not then immediately after booking, to provide maximum protection. If guests fail to purchase adequate insurance, they accept they are liable for the charges themselves.
- Guests are advised to regularly consult the relevant government websites to have the latest information on travel requirements, and the local Covid health pass requirements and regulations.
- Guests accept they must not travel to our villas, in line with national regulations, if they show any of the following COVID symptoms,:
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
- Guests accept that due to the impact of COVID 19, Purple Summer may have to reduce the service delivery at very short notice, in order to maintain the safety of both clients and employees, and in order to remain in compliance with nationally mandated rules or best practice. This might include, but not be restricted to:
- Stricter check in and check out times to prevent mixing of different client groups, and to give sufficient time for our cleaning teams to deep clean the villa in between groups
- Withdrawal of all villa staff from the villa in the event of client symptoms (until a negative test is received) or for the duration of the stay if positive tests are received. We would endeavour to provide the highest service level that we are able to in this case, but service might be reduced to pre-prepared delivered meals as guests self isolate in the villa.
- In a situation where members of our staff show symptoms and/or test positive for COVID-19, they will be required to isolate, along with the rest of their household (other staff members). This may reduce the service we are able to offer, either in the short term or for the rest of the stay. We would endeavour to provide the highest service level that we are able to in this case, but service might be reduced if replacement staff are not immediately available.
- Whilst traditionally we have always tried to minimise changes in the structure of the villa teams, guests must accept that the villa staff team might change during a stay as other staff members are required to cover for people taken ill or required to isolate.
- Guests accept that they are renting the villa as one household and one family group. Purple Summer will treat the party as a single household in delivering services in/to the villa as we have always done.
- If a guest tests positive and is required to self-isolate, and if local regulations require the other people in their household to also self-isolate, the guest(s) should contact their insurance provider to follow their advice and guidance for the self-isolation. Purple Summer will provide as much support as possible.
- Upon leaving resort, if any guest tests positive for COVID-19 within 48 hours, they will immediately inform Purple Summer so that we can take necessary actions to protect future guests and staff alike.
